Bryan Lee Hildebrant

Bryan Lee Hildebrant, of Cadillac passed away at home with family by his side on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. He was 78.

Bryan was born on October 9, 1945, in Flint, Michigan. His parents were Charles and Mary Hildebrant. He answered the call of duty serving as a sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. On August 27th, 1983 Bryan entered into marriage with Linda Bechtel (Hildebrant).

Bryan enjoyed making a living working as a carpenter in the trim and cabinet department at the Four Winns boat plant in Cadillac for over 40 years. He truly enjoyed every opportunity to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they kept his heart full.

He could often be found in his workshop fixing or building furniture, on the lake fishing in his boat, mowing his lawn, and enjoying the classic western, "Gunsmoke" or Tigers Baseball with his wife Linda. Bryan loved going out to breakfast, playing jokes on his family, and loving his cat, Ernie. He always carried a genuine smile and made his love for his family known.

He will be remembered as a husband, dad, papa, and friend.

Bryan is survived by his wife, Linda Hildebrant and beloved cat, Ernie, of Cadillac; his daughter, Holly (Chris) Brown of Cadillac; son, Jason (Heidi) McCurry of Florida; son, Keith (Judy) Hildebrant of Texas; grandchildren, Megan (Ryan Baker) Brown, Tyler (Stephanie) McCurry, Paige (Paul) Potter, Bryan (Kaylee) McCurry, Clara (Andrew Brown) Brown, Izzabell McCurry; Austin Hildebrant, Christopher (Zulema) Hildebrant, Heather (Craig) Gattis; 6 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Denise Betheland many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved cat Baxter; and parents, Charles and Mary Hildebrant.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
